I saw the MadPea Gacha Fair destination advertised and hoped for something as interesting as the MadPea Carnivale, but, while the Mad City was well made, I think the fair was just for selling, and I was more in a mood for something dark and twisted. Anyway, I donated to the endeavor.
I wandered next door from Da Vinci Isle to New York and stumbled upon Long Island and Montauk and Montauk Point and Harbour. Talk about wandering and stumbling. I was born on Long Island and my mother said we lived at Montauk Point. Not sure how that was possible, because I only ever see a lighthouse there in real life pics, just as in this virtual spot, but that’s what I’ve been told. We left before I could know it and I’ve never been back, but it has loomed out there as some kind of mythic space that I have worked at to get over. Home is where my stuff is, now, and that’s not in New York.
The New York spaces are nicely built of typical Long Island/Hamptons shop spaces and homes, which are all for rent. I did not see who the builder is, but it is a sizable investment in SL. Is Harbour a real place or the one fictional spot in the build? I’m not sure, but I think they need more advertising—maybe they’re waiting for this long winter to be over to attract some summer guests.
